Position :

The Accounting Lead Clerk plays a vital role in overseeing daily accounting operations and supporting the development of team members. This position ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, drives process improvements, and acts as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of mentoring others while effectively managing individual responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and support the daily tasks for the team of Accounting Clerks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Monitor and reconcile client payments; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and correct files submitted by Client Care, Retention, Legal, and other departments.
• Manage and monitor inboxes related to payments, refunds, and NOCS.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvement.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data; produce financial reports or statements as needed.
• Maintain and regularly update SOPs and training documentation.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members.
• Conduct weekly call listening sessions and provide performance feedback.
• Monitor adherence to policies and escalate issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve client or payment-related issues.
• Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accuracy, timeliness, and productivity, while leading by example to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
