OrthoNebraska is adding a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Pre / Post-Op team!

Department / Position Details / Duties :
- Performs an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient's ongoing nursing care needs
- Develop / reviews / revises and individualizes the plan of care to address the patient's nursing care needs for optimum patient.
- Evaluates patient care to determine response to care / interventions for optimal patient outcome
- Performs technical skills competently and independently to assure patient safety
- Maintains a professional behavior in attitudes, demeanor, interactions to achieve organizations mission
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age / weight of the patients served
- Comply with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Attend and participate in department meetings.
- Attend mandatory educational programs.
- Follow established guidelines as stated in hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Position Requirements :
Education :
- Graduate of an accredited school / college of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska and other states as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) required.
Experience :
1-2 Years perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred.
Physical :
This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
