Job Summary
The Regional Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence, productivity, and financial performance through continuous improvement initiatives. This position supports the deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, serving as a resource and coach for operational leaders to achieve measurable improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional liaison to the Continuous Improvement Director.
- Train, coach, and facilitate Lean / CI concepts including Toyota Kata, Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI), A3 Thinking, PDCA, and Problem-Solving techniques.
- Provide CI and Lean expertise to operations and department managers, supporting the development of transformation plans based on value-stream thinking.
- Drive the deployment and sustainment of a standardized CI framework across facilities.
- Participate in CI meetings and report on progress, barriers, and results.
- Coach teams to identify problems, develop countermeasures, and sustain process improvements.
- Promote a culture of Safety Excellence, integrating CI principles into safety and operational processes.
- Deliver Lean / CI training for both salaried and hourly employees on tools such as A3 Thinking, Visual Management, 5S, Standardized Work, Value Stream Mapping, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Identify barriers to CI success and develop alignment strategies to overcome them.
- Measure and document the impact of process improvements on business results.
- Support strategic growth by assisting in the deployment of CI practices across newly acquired or integrated business units.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.3–5 years of experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.Demonstrated ability to coach and influence at all levels of the organization.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.Experience managing multiple locations or regional initiatives preferred.Occasional travel required (less than 10%).Preferred Skills
Prior experience in a dedicated Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence role.Exposure to logistics, aviation, or manufacturing environments.Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office and operational warehouse environment. The position requires use of standard office equipment and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
