Our Supply Chain and Logistics team mission is to provide top notch service to our stores and purchasing teams, contributing to the goal to make Grocery Outlet the first choice for bargain minded customers while touching lives for the better.

Our team oversees the successful movement of products from our vendors to our stores and is self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated.

About the Role :

Reporting to the Senior Director- Supply Chain Strategy & Capabilities, the Director, PMO Supply Chain is responsible for executing and managing a portfolio of large-scale multimillion dollar complex projects related to supply chain network strategy, new warehouse construction, enhanced system development and large-scale material handling implementation.

This role will have 1-2 direct reports, that are subject matter experts in disciplines to support the inflight projects across supply chain.

Also, this individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project budget development and achievement, schedule management & maintenance, 3rd party vendor accountability and successfully execute programs while communicating regularly to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Defines, plans, schedules, budgets, and coordinates deliverables across teams including coordinating the activities of for internal and external partners, monitoring and escalating budgetary risks and leads through influence to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Facilitates collaborative project review meetings to highlight significant updates, assessing risks and risk mitigation plans while providing project status to key stakeholders.
  • Organizes and motivates effective project teams; communicating effectively across teams and groups; reprioritizing as necessary to address changes in the business and / or shifting needs.
  • Works closely with financial partners to monitor change orders, financial and achieve project budget performance to ensure delivery of expected financial budget and expected financial outputs.
  • Develops timelines, and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracks and communicates critical project achievements and / or risks.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and lead projects or activities as well as develop baseline financial metrics to document savings of identified projects / initiatives.
  • Is the primary point of contact for designated projects facilitating project update meetings, and written communication and reports to inform corporate steering committee and additional key stakeholders of progress.
  • Uses corporate project management governance processes and prescribed tools to ensure consistency, and clarity of key information and risks.
  • Proactively addresses problems through risk mitigation and contingency planning and presents solutions and / or options to senior Supply Chain, Business Technology, Finance, Purchasing / Planning and other Executive level key stakeholders, ensuring successful management of the project targets.
  • Deliver results for each project through leadership and partnership with cross-functional teams and by working directly with various stakeholders across the Company, driving accountability & quality to deliver expected results.
  • Drive process improvement, and adherence to company project management standards.
  • Recommend strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Builds collaborative business relationships with all stakeholders, including 3rd party vendors.
  • Develops a team of highly accountable subject matter experts to support project execution.

About The Pay :

  • Base Salary Range : $140,000 - $160,000 Annually

About You :

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Project Management leadership in a supply chain related field bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Clarizen, Asana and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to articulate clear updates on schedule, risks, and budget.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, a strong ability to drive accountability, and performs well under pressure in a very fast paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with large scale cross functional supply chain Innovation projects, grocery retail experience a plus.
  • Project management experience with Supply & Materials Procurement, Land Development, Warehouse Construction, Supply Planning, and Scheduling.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously.
  • Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, data driven decision making and coordinating alignment conversations cross functionally.
