THE ROLE
As Corporate Development Associate, you will play a critical role in driving growth initiatives for The Enhanced Games by raising capital, performing market & competitive analyses, supporting partnership and investment opportunities, conducting financial modeling and due diligence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable strategic decisions and execution.
You will help translate the company’s vision into actionable business opportunities, and support both organic expansion (product lines, event formats) and inorganic growth (joint ventures, strategic alliances, potential acquisitions / investments).
Key Responsibilities :
Support the CFO in preparing investor materials (pitch decks, board updates, valuation comps, long-range plans, public company content inputs).
Research and analyze target markets, industry dynamics (sports, live events, telehealth, entertainment) and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities aligned with The Enhanced Games’ vision.
Build financial models (e.g., annual budget, forecast, long range planning, discounted cash flow, strategic partnership valuations, business cases, forecasting ) and scenario analyses to support business planning, new ventures, partnerships or investment opportunities.
Assist in sourcing and screening potential strategic partners (sports organizations, media platforms, investor groups, technology companies), maintaining a pipeline of opportunities and tracking key metrics.
Support capital raise and due diligence processes : coordinate across finance, legal, operations, athlete relations teams; gather and analyze data; identify risks, synergies and value-creation potential.
Prepare presentation decks, investment / partnership memos and briefing materials for senior leadership and Board / Investor review.
Monitor and report on performance of executed deals and strategic initiatives : integration status, key milestones, expected vs. actual results.
Collaborate closely with internal functions (athlete relations, event operations, safety & science, marketing, finance) to drive cross-functional execution of new initiatives.
Support periodic strategic planning sessions : help define growth priorities (geographies, event formats, athlete categories), new business models, and exit / scale decisions.
Stay abreast of developments in sports business, science & enhancement innovation, regulatory environment (anti-doping, event-licensing, media rights) and bring insights to the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Strategy or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
4+ years of experience in corporate development, strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or M&A and exposure to sports / media / entertainment or high-growth companies.
Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
Must be willing to work from Enhanced’s New York office five days a week.
Experience supporting capital raises, IPO, or investor-facing materials strongly preferred.
Strong modeling and valuation skills; advanced proficiency in Excel, comfortable building / manipulating complex spreadsheets and conducting scenario analyses.
High-calibre analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to digest large data sets, identify key insights and make actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills (PowerPoint), capable of interfacing with senior leadership, investors and partners.
Self-starter mentality, highly organized, able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deliver under tight timelines in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Collaborative mindset; able to work across functions, with internal and external stakeholders.
Interest in sports, live events, entertainment, and emerging business models in sport & science—comfortable navigating unconventional / new markets.
Comfortable with ambiguity and building structure in evolving strategic environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in the sports, media, live-events or entertainment sectors.
Experience in partnerships or M&A in high-growth / venture-backed companies.
Knowledge of joint ventures, strategic alliance frameworks, investor relations and fundraising processes.
Familiarity with emerging technologies, health & performance science, regulatory or enhancement innovation.
Experience with data, analytical or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Figma) is a plus.
