We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, processing cash receipts, and maintaining compliance with company standards. This position is based in West Henrietta, New York, and offers an opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our payroll services operations.
Responsibilities :
- Process and accurately post daily incoming cash to appropriate client accounts and invoices based on provided remittance details.
- Ensure all cash transactions are completed and posted within the same business day to maintain timely processing.
- Verify invoices for appropriate backup documentation and address discrepancies with internal teams as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve missing or incorrect information related to accounts receivable.
- Conduct research and reconciliation of financial data to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Monitor transactions for potential fraudulent activity and report findings during verification processes.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy in financial records while adhering to internal controls and accounting policies.
- Support ad hoc financial reporting tasks and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Build strong client relationships through effective communication and prompt resolution of payment issues.
- Utilize accounting systems and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a preference for high-volume cash application experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting systems or software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
