CNA/Recreation Aide

Facility Description :

The Alpine Adult Day Care center serves the needs of people who are elderly and / or disabled and provides them with a daily opportunity to socialize and participate in the community.

We are currently seeking a Recreation Aid with a valid CNA designation who will provide direct care for participants, assist with food service, and keeping the center tidy and clean, as well as help participants to engage in and enjoy the center's daily activities.

Job Description :

Position hours : M-F 8am-4pm

The CNA / Recreation Aide is responsible for :

• Assisting the Agency Manager and the program team in developing and leading planned activities for participants;
• Providing ONLY UNSKILLED personal care services for participants;
• Assisting the Administrator as necessary by providing information for participants daily activity records and other administrative tasks;
• Accompanying participants to and from organized outings and taking responsibility for their safety while there;
• Assisting with games, crafts and helping to organize participants for participating in planned events;

Assisting with serving and clean-up for breakfast, lunch and snacks; and

Working with the team to keep the center well-organized and completely cleaned by the end of each day.

Qualifications :

The ideal Candidate has :

• A high school diploma
• At least 1 year of professional experience providing personal care for clients in the home or a facility setting
• Enjoys working with elderly and / or disabled individuals
• Has a friendly, energetic and outgoing personality
• Works well with other team members
• Has a valid CNA designation and speaks Spanish
