Office and Facilities Administrator
The Office and Facilities Administrator manages the church office, oversees the care and use of church property, and acts as the first point of contact for persons contacting the church during the week. Responsibilities include :
- Provide administrative support for the church including answering the phone, returning calls, taking messages and directing callers to the appropriate person to assist them.
- Greet visitors to the office and manage building access.
- Check and distribute mail.
- Document and maintain all office processes and policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
- Assist with volunteer coordination, such as worship volunteers.
- Manage and reorder building supplies as needed.
- Receive building use requests, document approved requests, and note building use reservations.
- Manage reservations in an organized manner.
- Receive requests to use church van and keep records of van use and maintenance.
- Participate in bi-weekly staff meetings and collaborate with other staff to support church operations.
- Oversee work completed by the Church Cleaning and Setup Staff.
- Identify and communicate building maintenance needs to Facilities Committee.
- Coordinate and be present for yearly inspections such as the fire inspection, etc.
- Coordinate with and escort contractors on-site for bids and supervise their work when repairs or projects are undertaken.
