The community you'll be caring for : AdventHealth Daytona Beach - 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117

The role you'll contribute :

Responsible for providing excellent customer service on the nursing unit. This position surveys the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for unprocessed orders. Additionally, this role assembles and maintains medical records for all patients on the nursing unit. In addition, this position ensures the accuracy and completeness of patient records. This role collaborates with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Finally, this position contributes to the overall efficiency of the nursing unit through diligent performance of assigned duties.

The value you'll bring to the team :

Maintains an organized, clutter-free, welcoming environment in the nursing station.

Conduct environmental rounds every 2 hours, ensuring patient care items are returned to the bedside table, the over bed tray is free of clutter, equipment is plugged in, and nursing alcoves are free of clutter with chairs tucked in.

Monitors PALS (Patient Access List) and notifies the primary nurse of new orders and results pending every 30 minutes.

Monitors BEDBOARD and notify the Charge Nurse or designee of any discrepancies in the level of care every 2 hours.

Provides customer service rounds, responding to patient requests within the scope of practice (e.g., ice, blankets, pillows, room temperature).

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

High School graduate or equivalent.

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).

Preferred qualifications :

• One year of healthcare / customer service experience.
