Senior Commercial Manager
LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager for our Houston area oil and gas client. This is a dynamic position for a professional candidate with sound experience in the upstream oil and gas space with a background in contract negotiations and implementation of commercial agreements, regulatory compliance and M&A transactions.

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Manager role include :
- Contribute to and lead negotiations with counterparties, including joint venture partners
- Provide analysis regarding the negotiation of major commercial transactions
- Provide analysis and guidance on counterparty credit risk and risk-economics
- Participate in public or market facing presentations surrounding commercial agreements
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on each aspect of the commercial transactions and ensure understanding by operations and other teams
- Participate in due diligence of potential acquisitions and other arrangements and strategic plan development
Primary requirements include :
- 10+ years' experience in upstream oil and gas transactions, agreements and investments
- MBA, JD or similar designation
- Sound background in participating in negotiation meetings with external parties
- Very analytical and extensive modelling experience
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and management skills
