Weekend Evening work-2-4 weekends/month
We are looking for one or two Certified Medical Assistant(s)(CMA) / Nursing Assistant(s) (CNA) to work with a young woman who has a diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
If the applicant wants to work every weekend, we are good with hiring one person. We are also open to hiring 2 people to share the weekend position.
She is a great self-advocate with a wonderful sense of humor.
Shifts :
every Saturday & Sunday 3pm - 11pm and sometimes later when needed (when the client has plans to go out with friends to a bar, concert or party).
Job Duties include :
Driving the client to appointments, and nearby destinations in client's own van, helping client with suctioning, re-positioning client in wheelchair, shopping, helping take care of client's pet care for dogs, guinea pigs, and a bird, light housekeeping, and helping client with various things like cooking, planning parties, decorating, etc.
Compensation :
$19 / hour after training is complete (an average of 30 hours of on-the-job training at $18 / hour). Holiday bonuses, 401k with employer match.
Full-time employees are also eligible for Kaiser with dental (at no cost to the employee), and vacation time.
Must also be willing to work with In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS).
Job Type : Part-time (but Full-Time work is available)
Pay : $19.00 per hour
