Job Description :

Saybrook University, a non-profit accredited graduate school using a hybrid distance / residential learning model, seeks to hire part-time Adjunct Faculty in our Clinical Psychology degree program.

The position begins May 9, 2023 and remains open until filled.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Responsive and timely communication with Director of Clinical Training and university communications

Course Delivery / Development and Syllabus Review / Updating

Deliver high quality innovative on-line courses that foster critical and creative thinking

Ensure high academic standards and quality aligned with program goals

Coordination with department leadership regarding course offerings and catalog documentation

Potential to design innovative, progressive, and clinically responsive courses

Monitor department minutes and communications accordingly

Residential Conference Opportunities

Potential for presenting workshops, courses clinical training, and departmental meetings

Position Requirements :

Earned doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology

Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist

Previous experience in faculty leadership roles, particularly with regard to curriculum development and working across department

Demonstrated scholarship, clinical practice, and / or accomplishments in clinical psychology

Relevant supervision and teaching experience at the doctoral level (with preference for those with online teaching experience)

Commitment to multicultural and humanistic principles

Clinical experience with ethnically diverse and / or other special populations

Experience teaching and developing clinical psychology degree courses (e.g., practicum, internship courses)

Compensation & Benefits

Three credit courses are budgeted at $2,000-4,000 per course, dependent upon student enrollment. Two credit courses are budgeted at $1,334-2,668 per course, dependent upon student enrollment.
