Our Equipment Services Section, within the Resources and Acquisitions Bureau, is seeking a Resources and Acquisitions Analyst, Management Analyst 3. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality, precise work. They will also possess the ability to tailor their communication style to suit various audiences effectively.
As a Resources and Acquisitions Analyst, your duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Managing and maintaining the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) fleet management system, Fleetio. Ensuring timely identification and resolution of software issues, adherence to vehicle service intervals, and accurate meter reporting.
- Providing comprehensive fleet analytics and performance insights to both internal and external stakeholders, including Iowa DOT executives, legislators, and federal agencies.
- Overseeing the annual physical inventory of DOT vehicles and equipment, guiding technology adoption, and monitoring vehicle replacement schedules to ensure efficient fleet operations.
- Delivering training to operators and fleet users on advanced technologies—such as GPS, AVL, and camera systems—to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall safety.
- Developing and maintaining accurate reports and documentation related to architectural projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting continual improvement in infrastructure and fleet management.
- Other activities as needed, assisting the Resources and Acquisitions Bureau.
