Clinical Coordination Pharmacist, Research
Position Overview :
The System-wide Research pharmacist will provide oversight of investigational pharmaceutical care consistent with professional, quality, and legal standards required by law and regulatory agencies.
This care will be in accordance with relevant policies and procedures with patient-centered distribution and clinical services ensuring patient safety, effectiveness of treatment and cost efficiency.
- Duties and responsibilities include coordinating, collaborating, and providing expertise in support of clinical investigational drug (ID) trials;
- performing education responsibilities; providing accurate and efficient dispensing of investigational medication to satellites;
- performing administrative responsibilities; providing functional supervision; performing communication responsibilities;
and performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
This is a work from home role with some onsite requirements. The successful candidate will live within the Sutter footprint.

Doctorate : Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE :
PHARMR-Registered Pharmacist OR PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE :
5 years recent relevant experience.
A minimum of one year of prior Investigational Drug management and clinical trial experience is preferred.
A minimum of one year in a hospital or infusion pharmacy setting is preferred.
Working knowledge of federal regulatory requirements preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
- Demonstrated competency to advance strategic goals and lead multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams to foster collaboration and build consensus, within a diverse, integrated, matrix management style healthcare system.
- Position requires organizational, teamwork, interpersonal, time management, written and verbal communication skills. position requires the capability to set priorities amongst a series of competing clinical and operational priorities and to effectively coordinate and direct the work of others to meet specified deadlines.
- Extensive clinical knowledge of medical and pharmacy practice issues and demonstrated proficiency in the evaluation of clinical evidence and development of evidence-based drug monographs, therapeutic class reviews, medication and disease management guidelines.
- Effective written and oral presentation of clinical evidence reviews, clinical initiative proposals, presentation of research findings, and recommendations to administrators, clinicians, and committees.
- Ability to engage and build consensus among pharmacy, nursing and medical staff in support of organizational goals for medication safety and stewardship.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance required; travel expenses are reimbursed.
- Supported attendance at one to two professional pharmacy conferences annually.

Pay Range is $97.76 to $117.31 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
