Partner Manager, Amex GBT Partner Solutions (GPS)

We're looking for a Partner Manager, Amex GBT Partner Solutions (GPS) to join our growing team. Reporting into and supporting the Director, Partner Relations, GPS. The Partner Manager position is responsible for owning and managing GPS Affiliate partner relationships for a portfolio of affiliate partners. This includes but is not limited to : Being an innovative team member with a focus on driving value, partnership optimization, and building strong relationships, along with responsibility for retention, profitability, and revenue growth.

What You'll Do :

  • Manage Affiliate partner relationships
  • Global point person for all affiliate items
  • Develop a strong partnership with the Affiliate partner
  • Works closely with the Director and key workstream owners to resolve issues and opportunities
  • Employ a consultative approach in driving partnership value for the Affiliate partner and GBT
  • Navigate within GBT to drive value and solve any issues on behalf of the Affiliate partner
  • Assist implementation of new affiliates and / or new business within partner

Implement Strategic Initiatives :

  • Support the enhancement of the GPS value proposition to the Affiliate partner - via consultation, technology road mapping, and content and revenue optimization.
  • Differentiating and reinforcing GPS's value consistently through a comprehensive understanding of the industry and the market, synthesizing competitive intelligence to understand future implications for Affiliate partners, and proactively communicating trends, innovations, and best practices to internal partners and leadership.
  • Affiliate Partner Retention :

  • Deliver differentiated value to the Affiliate partner, which leads to satisfaction, revenue growth, increased GBT technology adoption, and retention.
  • Portfolio Management / Maintenance :

  • Strong competence in commercial matters
  • Affiliate partner / Account Relationship Management
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks in parallel
  • Opportunity analysis and a solid level of analytical skills
  • SNAP / AccessIT case creation for portfolio configuration and setup
  • Administrative tasks
  • Navigating Vendor portals and providing access to portfolio P&L Management
  • Lead annual / quarterly global business reviews
  • Availability to travel (up to 15%) is needed in this role.
  • What We're Looking For :

  • 2-5 year's global account / client management travel industry experience
  • GDS experience preferred (Sabre & Travelport)
  • Extensive customer / client-facing experience globally
  • Strong business and financial acumen and the proven ability to drive results and achieve targets are required.
  • Strong influencing and consultative skills and initiative management ability
  • Adept at learning new technology
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and take a proactive approach
  • Experience in uncovering opportunities to drive value, revenues, and Affiliate partner satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a data-driven, analytical approach to the client's travel program in a consultative manner as the subject matter expert.
  • Strong negotiation skills required, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Proven executive-level presentation skills
  • Strong problem solver and experience working within a matrixed environment
  • Organized, disciplined, and responsive approach
  • Location : US or Canada (Virtual)
  • The US national base salary range for this position is from $88,200.00 - $163,800.00. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus which rewards participants based on individual and / or company performance.
