SUMMARY : Assist nursing staff in maintaining the surgical schedules by the prompt and thorough decontamination of OR instruments, equipment, and scopes.
Maintains an orderly flow of decontamination, lubrication, packaging, and desired sterilization and disinfection.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : High School or GED required. Minimum six months experience in a Surgery Center or Operating Room environment preferred.
Knowledge of autoclaving procedures required. Certification preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS : : Surgical Instrument Technician certification preferred. BLS certification required.
