Who We Need
We're looking for someone with the following skills, experience and credentials :
- Assesses and documents pertinent consumer information.
- Plans consumer treatment.
- Intervenes psychotherapeutically, psycho pharmacologically, physiologically.
- Provides consumer education demonstrating knowledge of adult psychiatric treatment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring treatment.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Manages pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Documents all activities in the clinical record according to policy using approved forms.
- Practices according to evidence-based practices and DBHS Performance Improvement Protocols and Technical Assistance Documents as posted on DBHS web site.
- Practices according to the recovery model and Arnold v. Sarn principles; knows and practices engagement skills including motivational interviewing;
and assists consumers to define and achieve their own recovery goals.
- Identifies potential barriers to quality care and opportunities for improvement and reports them to Lead Nurse.
- Participates in UM and QI activities as required.
- To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
Job requirements
Education : Graduate from an accredited Nursing program with licensure by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Licensures : Registered Professional Nurse.
Relevant Work Experience : One year prior psychiatric or behavioral health experience with adults with serious mental illnesses or children or adolescents with serious emotional disturbances or developmentally disabled.
Community based experience preferred.
