What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Postdoctoral Appointee to work at the interface between physics- and process based predictive models and large spectral/temporal datasets, to include hyperspectral datacubes as well as persistently collected streams of multi-sensor electromagnetic, infrasound, and seismo-acoustic data. Model driven efforts will include predicting signal source terms, the processes governing them, and their subsequent propagation to deployed sensors, while data driven efforts will include both unsupervised and supervised machine learning approaches to extract interpretable signatures from multiple sensing modalities. Our current research activities include the modeling of hyperspectral chemical signatures and the integration of physics-based models into process digital twins.
