Overview Remote position with preference for candidates in Bloomington, IL, or within commuting distance. We are open to 100% remote work but note that payroll setup is not available in certain states and we prefer to avoid those: California, District of Columbia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia. Responsibilities Builds actuarial assumptions and models using a variety of tools, including actuarial modeling software, data visualization applications, programming languages and Microsoft Office applications. Communicates results to direct management, verbally, in writing or in presentation form. Documents work according to actuarial standards of practice. Works towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries. Be proficient with actuarial pricing models and complete work. Be familiar with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines and ensure contracts and annual testing such as illustration regulations are compliant.
