Job description
A company is looking for a Chief Software Engineer to lead software development initiatives in support of weather and climate forecast systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead agile software development, including code reviews and testing
Define and enforce coding, documentation, versioning, and security standards
Coordinate continuous integration, testing, deployment cycles, and mentor the team on new technologies
Qualifications
Advanced degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
10+ years of software development experience
Experience leading Agile software development
Extensive experience with large, open-source or federal scientific software systems
Expertise in DevOps, automated testing, and production-quality code delivery
