Sarasota County Government is looking for a Project Manager to join their dedicated team in the Public Utilities department. This role involves managing and leading asset management projects within the Utility Engineering Asset Management group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and evaluation of utilities wastewater/water plants, lift-stations, pump stations, and the Capital Improvements Rehabilitation & Renovation Program. This position requires routine inspections, data location retrieval, and spatial location retrieval of new and developmental infrastructure related work in the areas of potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water, as well as other technical public utilities projects and programs.
The Project Manager will oversee multiple capital assets and projects within the utility asset hierarchy, perform post construction inspections, and coordinate with IT staff to resolve problems with system applications. They will also serve as the main point of contact between Public Utilities staff and EIT to coordinate data collection, asset management, and software configuration update activities. Training and assistance to other Public Utilities staff in utilizing these computer systems and keeping them apprised of data and system changes and upgrades are also part of the role.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management or highly related field with five (5) years of CIP and/or project management experience. A Master's Degree in one of the above-mentioned fields can substitute for one year of required experience. Project experience can substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis. Preferred qualifications include Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP), and Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP).
Pay: $63,128.00 - $107,224.00 (with some relocation available)
