Duties
- Provide Network Engineer services from the designated IA space during normal work hours of 0730-1600.
- Operate, secure, maintain, and repair network infrastructure including 12 switches, 10 routers, 1 firewall, 5 video teleconference systems, 50 servers, and 4 TACLANE encryptors, anticipating a 5% annual growth. Networks may include DoD C41, Systems, JWICS, CENTRIXS, and others per operational requirements.
- Serve as a USNAVSO / FOURTHFLT Lead Systems Administrator and secondary as a network engineer.
- Provide system administrator support for C4I systems such as ENMS Lite, DCGS-N, ADSI v15, GCCS-J, Radiant Mercury, and VTC Systems.
- Perform weekly scans / patches, document, and submit reports following DoD IA guidelines.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
- Design network architectures following DoD guidance.
- Coordinate and document network configuration and topology changes.
- Install, maintain software / hardware, control versions, and document configurations.
- Optimize network functionality, diagnose, and recover failed systems.
- Implement vendor software updates while adhering to federal security standards.
- Maintain accountability of over 150 IT equipment pieces for USNAVSO / FOURTHFLT.
- Advise and assist customers, troubleshoot complex issues, and support critical business activities.
- Design, engineer, and install network infrastructure, reallocate equipment, and provide PC and hardware maintenance.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience in IT or related fields.10+ years supporting and securing operating systems.Obtain and maintain MCSA certification within 6 months.Certification in Security (CASP or CISSP).Proficiency with MS VISIO, ACAS, WIRESHARK, VMware, CANES, VDI, Windows, Solaris, Red Hat, VMWare VCenter, Radiant Mercury, Splunk, JCA, IPL, GCCS-J, GALE, CGS, IESS, and network security tools.Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls, VTC, routers, switches, and related configurations.All certifications per DoD 8570.01-M, including IAT Level II and subsequent certifications.Ability to work with senior staff and hold a TOP SECRET / SCI clearance.We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
