JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing and directing the day-to-day process control and operational activities, plans and programs to ensure efficient operation and 100% environment compliance.
Includes the direction and management of area customers, expenses, staffing (internal & external), revenues, equipment resources and participation in the sales processes of the area.
SUCCESS FACTORS
- Directly supervise employees as well as sub-contract services.
- Interface with other business partners in evaluation and preparation of models and plans for new business.
- Interpret operational data and make operational changes as needed.
- Coordinate all maintenance / equipment activities.
- Successfully interface with environmental and regulatory agencies as well as generator and haulers to ensure efficiency processing and delivery of material.
- Achieve safety, compliance and operational budgetary goals.
- Manage and track project monthly financials for area of responsibility. Make changes needed for improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, train, supervise and monitor performance of plant personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
- Monitors and controls plant operations in accordance with manufacturers O&M manuals, SOP’s and established company policies and procedures.
- Enforce and maintain company safety programs and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of processes and material handling / processes, operating procedures and standards, to properly instruct employees.
- Frequent independent decision-making to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
- Develop and maintain daily spreadsheets and operating reports relating to compliance monitoring and other reporting documentation.
- Ensures that the facility operates within permit compliance, at / above its designed capacity.
- Reports weekly status covering all processing and maintenance related activities to Director of Operations.
- Exhibit at all times safe behavior and perform job in safe manner

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCES
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- 4 year Engineering or Environmental degree preferred.
- 2-3 years management experience. MBA is a bonus.
- Experience in power or steam generation, incineration, or environmental industry required.
- Must have computer skills and experience with Word, Excel.
- Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail required.
- Knowledge of OSHA and state / federal safety rules and regulations preferred..
