JOB OVERVIEW
Provides The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site Project Controls Support Services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SCOPE OF WORK
- Assist with oversight of contractor support and analyzation of improvements in contractor's Assurance Program.
- Provide Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) Performance Assurance support to Assistant Manager of Waste Treatment Program (AMWTP), Deputy Assistant Manager of Waste Treatment Program (AMWTP), and Division Directors, to perform management assessments, action tracking and record management.
- Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.
- Review and comment on new and revised Performance Assurances procedures and WTP oversight reports.
- Provide support to the WTP Assistant Manager and Deputy Assistant Manager.
- Provide auditing and training support.

The Project Controls Specialist - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

Project Controls Specialist shall possess the following minimum qualifications :
Education BS / BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted for BS / BA degree.Experience Nine (9) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.Demonstrate familiarity level of knowledge of WTP QA program and WTP contractor assurance program.Working level of knowledge with ORP's oversight program requirements to include ORP's corrective action management process.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.U.S. CitizenshipCompetencies Required

TRAVEL : Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
LOCATION : Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area
Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA. This position is telework eligible at the discretion of the Technical Monitor (TM) in consultation with the Contracting Officer (CO). If in-person support is identified as required for any reason and for any length of time by the TM or CO, the contractor shall report for duty in-person as requested.
