Essential Job Functions
Position Description
Analyzes and plans for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
Develops and administers data standards, policies, and procedures.
Develops and implements data conversion and migration tools.
Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team exploring and defining report metrics.
Supports teams developing and implementing data access and data warehousing programs.
Evaluate and provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
Ensures the rigorous application of information security / information assurance policies,
principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services.
Assists with maintaining, monitoring, and performance tuning / optimizing databases.
Required Skills
5+ years’ experience in database administration of SQL Server database environments.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 / 2016+
Thorough understanding of relational databases, T-SQL Scripting, database normalization best practices,
database technologies, and concepts
Database Design in a Software Development Environment as a contributor
Experience with Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Team Server, and / or Azure DevOps
Proficient with SQL development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored
procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity and performance issues.
Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with SSRS, SSIS or SSAS - A MUST
Experience with DMS, CDC, and RedShift - A MUST
Preferred Skills
Degree in computer science or related field.
Experience with AWS RDS DynamoDB
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Replication
Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL Database
Data Warehouse / Data Lake
Communicates well cross-functionally and can serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical
audiences in conversations.
