Job description

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the growth and evolution of our North America Issuing Solutions businessa cornerstone of our Value Added Services portfolio that enables banks credit unions and fintech issuers to optimize authorization performance reduce fraud streamline disputes and elevate cardholder experiences across the card lifecycle.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a scaled strategic sales organization at the intersection of payments innovation and enterprise relationship management. As VP of North America Issuing Solutions Sales youll command a significant portfolio spanning our most strategic issuing accounts who are shaping the future of digital issuing. Youll drive revenue growth across solutions including Visas risk and identity offerings credit and debit processing core banking tokenization and lifecycle management digital issuance and wallet provisioning rewards and offers and dispute management tools that power billions of card transactions.

This isnt just a sales leadership roleits a platform to shape the payments landscape. Youll work at the strategic apex of Visas client relationships where deep industry expertise translates directly into business impact. Your knowledge of issuer processing core banking authorization performance portfolio growth drivers risk management and the evolving issuing ecosystem will be your currency in boardroom conversations with C-suite executives at the worlds most sophisticated financial institutions and fintechs.

This requires someone who can architect sales operations with precisionfrom quota design and territory planning to compensation structures that drive the right behaviorswhile simultaneously building a culture of coaching development and accountability that transforms good performers into exceptional ones.

Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Growth & Market Leadership

  • Own the North America Issuing Solutions revenue strategy partnering with product marketing and client services to position Visa as the indispensable partner in our clients issuing and portfolio optimization strategies
  • Leverage your deep payments expertise to identify whitespace opportunities navigate complex client organizations and architect solutions that address the most sophisticated challenges in authorization optimization token lifecycle fraud prevention dispute management and cardholder engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our most strategic issuing accounts bringing gravitas and credibility that opens doors and deepens relationships at the highest levels

Lead with Operational Excellence

  • Design and execute the sales operating model for a large complex organizationestablishing clear quotas defining role responsibilities and optimizing team structure to maximize coverage and productivity
  • Implement rigorous cadences and accountability mechanisms that create transparency and enable data driven decisionmaking across the organization
  • Build and Elevate Exceptional Talent

  • Lead inspire and develop a team of sales leaders managing substantial territories and issuer portfolios across US and Canada
  • Establish a coaching culture with regular feedback loops skill development and performance conversations that elevate individual and team capabilities
  • Hold leaders accountable not just for results but for how they develop their teamsmaking talent development a core competency of the organization
  • Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives drive innovation and better client outcomes
  • Serve as a Payments Authority

  • Bring undeniable expertise in the issuing value chainfrom account opening and digital issuance to authorization tokenization lifecycle management rewards risk and disputes
  • Stay ahead of industry trends competitive dynamics and regulatory developments translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Represent Visa in industry forums with clients and internally as a thought leader who shapes how we think about Issuing Solutions
  • Partner cross-functionally with product and technology teams providing market feedback that influences our innovation roadmap
  • This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Qualifications : Basic Qualifications

    12 or more years of work experience with a bachelors Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters / MBA / JD / MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications

    15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD PhD)

    Proven track record of leading large teams and consistently exceeding revenue targets

    Deep relationships within the North America issuing ecosystem (banks credit unions fintech issuers program managers BIN sponsors)

    Experience with enterprise software SaaS or valuea dded services sales models preferred

    Strong command of technical operational and strategic aspects of the issuer side payments ecosystem

    Proven success leading large distributed sales teams (50 people) and building scalable sales operations infrastructure

    Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent results while fostering healthy sustainable team cultures

    Exceptional talent for developing leaders through structured coaching feedback and accountability

    Recognized as a thought leader on future trends in issuing risk tokenization and cardholder engagement

    Comfortable operating in matrixed environments and skilled at building alignment across cross-functional teams

    Willingness to travel up to 40%

    Additional Information :

    Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

    Travel Requirements : This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 321400 to 590900 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA / HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
