Lead Teacher

Position Summary : We are seeking energetic teachers to join our team and work with children aged 2-5 years old. Discovery Point uses a proprietary curriculum which includes reading, language, STEM, cooking projects and art.

Our teachers often add other activities and learning experiences during the day.

• One (1) year experience in child care is required to apply
• Completion of 45 hours of child care training and training displayed on DCF Transcript is required to apply
• CDA or CDA equivalent preferred but not required

Duties include :

• Implement the proprietary curriculum
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child
