Affiliate Faculty, Physics (Labs) Regis University in Denver, CO Position Type Adjunct/Part-Time Category Physics Job Summary Affiliate faculty will teach the following laboratory courses: AS 251 Principles of Astronomy Lab, PH 205A General Physics Lab with Trigonometry I, and PH 305A General Physics Lab with Calculus I. Faculty are hired on a per credit hour basis for specified classes, on a semester‑by‑semester basis as needed. Major Duties and Responsibilities Provide instruction and facilitate active problem‑solving in assigned classes in accordance with the course syllabus and departmental policies. Maintain complete and accurate grade records. Evaluate students’ performance. Communicate regularly with students and the department chair, including via Regis‑provided email. Maintain regular office hours (1 hour per week) to support students academically. Collaborate with the department chair to design the course content. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience in physics, astronomy, or a related field. Work Schedule Depends on the course schedule and candidate availability. Benefits Workers’ compensation eligible and 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year. Pay Rate $2,150 per lab course, per semester #J-18808-Ljbffr
