Job description
Accounts Payable, Specialist
Responsible for the processing of all accounts payable. Prepares monthly summaries and other reports as required.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Checking invoices with purchase orders & receipts.
- Preparing vouchers, classifying & coding the expenses.
- Recording expenses in the general ledger.
- Processing monthly accounts payable bills such as rents, utilities & all insurance.
- Processing petty cash, OMNY cards disbursement, check requests & expense reimbursements.
- Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve issues.
- Preparing monthly vendors analyses, open Purchase Orders and vendor statements.
- Preparing journal entries.
- Preparing & filing annual 1099 MISC and NEC.
- Filing.
- Assisting the Assistant Controller with all finance department matters as assigned.
- Attending regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Attending all required training.
- Participating in quality improvement activities.
- Adhering to policies on time and attendance and being flexible with scheduling as needed.
- Other relevant duties as required.
Education, training, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
- BA/BS degree one to two years' experience or
- Associate degree with 2-3 years' experience
- Full charge bookkeeper with over 4 years' experience
- Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Pivot Table, and Outlook programs). Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
