Job Summary The Adjunct AI and Machine Learning Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of all courses related to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This position reports to LSCPA’s Business and Industrial Technology Department. Duties/Responsibilities Provide quality instruction Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives Attend faculty meetings Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in qualifying field such as Computer Science/Data Analytics, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Software Engineering/Development, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Industry Certifications such as Google AI Essentials, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, AI Engineer (ARTiBA), Certified Artificial Intelligence Scientist (CAIS), DeepLearning.AI Specializations (Coursera), Microsoft AI Fundamentals Three (3) years of industry work experience Work independently in the classroom Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Possess great time management and communication skills Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in a qualifying field Experience with Blackboard or other computerized teaching systems Teaching experience in higher education Teaching experience at a two-year college Supplemental Information Physical Requirements: Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds.
