The Store Manager will lead a staff of roughly 20 people to deliver impeccable customer service throughout the buying process. This role involves training, coaching, and developing the team to ensure an exceptional customer experience while driving business goals. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales, margin, and performance goals Drive daily sales activity through floor leadership, role modeling, and real-time coaching Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new team members in partnership with HR Schedule staff effectively to align with traffic, sales volume, and labor budgets Monitor individual and store performance metrics (sales, close rates, average ticket, KPIs) and take corrective action when needed Create a positive, professional, and accountable store culture focused on customer experience and results Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving escalated issues and maintaining high service standards Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising standards, pricing, and showroom presentation Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and employment practices Complete performance reviews, coach through performance concerns, and document disciplinary actions as required Manage timekeeping, attendance, and payroll accuracy for the store Partner with leadership on promotions, local marketing efforts, and sales events Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times Qualifications At least five years of retail management experience - at least two years of experience in a commission-driven compensation structure Experience selling furniture with strong eye for design and customization of customer experience Hands‑on experience training others on best‑practices and follow‑up techniques in retail sales Required Skills Sales Leadership: Ability to drive results through active floor leadership, coaching, and accountability People Management: Skilled in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing a diverse retail sales team Performance Coaching: Confident in giving clear, timely feedback and addressing performance gaps Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience and resolving issues professionally Communication: Clear, direct, and respectful communicator with employees, customers, and leadership Decision‑Making: Uses sound judgment to make timely decisions in a fast‑paced retail environment Accountability: Holds self and others responsible for meeting expectations, goals, and company standards Organization & Time Management: Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages schedules, and meets deadlines Adaptability: Remains calm and flexible in a changing retail environment, including weekends, holidays, and peak sales periods Policy & Compliance Awareness: Understands and follows company policies, safety standards, and employment practices Emotional Intelligence: Manages conflict professionally and builds trust with team members #J-18808-Ljbffr
