About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development and Marketing Officer (CDMO) to provide strategic and operational leadership in fundraising and marketing. The CDMO will be responsible for overseeing a 9-person Development team and a 3-person Marketing team, with a focus on meeting the School's annual, capital, and endowment fundraising goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the company's mission and core values, with a personal passion for dance. A background in nonprofit development and marketing, particularly in leading major fundraising campaigns and leveraging digital marketing strategies, is essential. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to fulfill the company's financial and brand objectives. Candidates for the CDMO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in nonprofit development and marketing, with a proven track record of meeting goals and a preference for those with experience in alumni engagement and digital marketing. The role demands excellent communication, collaboration, and creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to use data to inform decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to have a Bachelor's degree, be financially literate in relation to development and marketing, and be capable of handling confidential matters with discretion.
