Job Overview A law firm seeks a Commercial Bankruptcy Associate in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of bankruptcy experience, excellent academic credentials, and strong communication skills. Admission to practice in North Carolina or willingness to obtain admission is required. Duties Contribute to representation of debtors and creditors in corporate restructurings and insolvency proceedings. Handle all aspects of discovery from start to finish. Draft and file pleadings and briefs. Review and interpret developments in bankruptcy law and regulations. Assist in mass tort bankruptcy litigation. Support partners in research and drafting for manuscripts and presentations. Perform other legal functions and special projects as assigned. Delegate tasks to paralegals and support staff. Requirements Minimum of four years of experience in bankruptcy. Admitted to practice in North Carolina or willing to obtain admission. Education Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school, with a preferred emphasis in bankruptcy or litigation. Certifications Admission to practice law in North Carolina. Skills Excellent legal research, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong academic credentials. Ability to work independently and make executive decisions. Creative problem-solving skills. Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills. Team player committed to collaboration. Bankruptcy Court or federal District Court clerkship is a plus.
