Supply Chain AnalystRosemont, ILHybridContract$30/hr - $35/hrSupply Chain Analyst / Contract / Hybrid - Rosemont, IL Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to support supply portal ordering, demand planning, purchase order management, inbound logistics coordination, and inventory reporting. This role will be responsible for entering forecasted orders and purchase orders, tracking inbound shipments, following up on delivery appointments, maintaining supplier portals, and researching discrepancies across inventory, sales, and receiving data.The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver with strong Excel skills, supply chain or demand planning experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the food, beverage, or beer industry is highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesEnter forecasted orders, purchase orders, and order adjustments accurately and within required deadlines.Manage manual order entry and supply portal ordering activities.Verify supplier order confirmations, quantities, item numbers, and delivery dates.Track and trace inbound orders to ensure appointment times are met and trucks are received as scheduled.Follow up with suppliers, carriers, and internal operations teams regarding order status, delays, and delivery issues.Determine pallet weight and truck capacity to support effective transportation planning.Maintain accurate records of orders, receipts, inventory levels, sales, forecasts, and delivery activity.Prepare and update variance reports comparing:Items ordered versus items receivedForecasted sales versus actual salesEnding inventory levels versus target inventory levelsResearch and analyze discrepancies in inventory, sales, receiving, and supplier data.Identify anomalies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Maintain supplier portals and troubleshoot system or access issues as needed.Update planning and business systems with accurate information, including item numbers, order details, delivery updates, and exceptions.Partner with Operations to ensure inventory levels are recorded accurately and consistently.Prepare reports and communicate supply chain updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.Manage multiple priorities while meeting firm deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, or a related field.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, sorting, and data analysis.Experience with purchase orders, supplier coordination, inventory records, forecasting, or order management.Strong analytical and business-mathematics skills.Ability to analyze large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines independently.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated problem-solving ability and initiative.Preferred QualificationsExperience with a planning or enterprise resource planning system such as Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, or a similar platform.Experience with demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or inventory analysis.Background in the food, beverage, beer, consumer packaged goods, or manufacturing industry.Knowledge of logistics, transportation coordination, pallet configuration, truck capacity, or inbound receiving processes.Experience working directly with suppliers, vendors, carriers, or distribution operations.Familiarity with supplier portals and troubleshooting system-related issues.Experience preparing variance reports and analyzing forecast, sales, receiving, and inventory data.Core CompetenciesAttention to detailIndependent decision-makingInitiative and accountabilityAnalytical thinkingProblem solvingSupplier and stakeholder communicationOrganization and time managementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to data accuracy and operational excellenceYou will receive the following benefits:Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your familyDental & Orthodontia BenefitsVision BenefitsHealth Savings Account (HSA)Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsVoluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability InsuranceHospital Indemnity Insurance401(k) including match with pre and post-tax optionsPaid Sick Time LeaveLegal and Identity Protection PlansPre-tax Commuter Benefit529 College Saver PlanMotion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
