Senior Accountant - Robert Half

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with annual audits and tax-related requests.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Maintain and analyze standard costs, variances, and product costing.
• Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile inventory balances.
• Partner with operations to analyze inventory accuracy, shrinkage, and production costs.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
• Develop reporting to help management understand manufacturing costs and profitability.
• Track and monitor tariffs, duties, and import-related costs associated with raw materials and finished goods.
• Analyze the financial impact of tariff changes and material cost fluctuations.
• Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocations.
• Support management with reporting and recommendations related to tariff-driven cost changes.
• Oversee high-volume accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax reporting, and internal controls.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience tracking material costs, tariffs, duties, or supply chain-related expenses preferred.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable and payroll processing. xklufbp
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
