Position Overview

Client is seeking a Strategy Director to lead corporate strategy and support senior leadership in developing annual and long-range strategic plans. This role focuses on market and competitive analysis, strategic planning, business performance, and data-driven decision-making. The position is primarily focused on corporate strategy, with limited involvement in M&A and strategic partnerships

Key Responsibilities

• Lead annual and long-range strategic planning in partnership with senior leadership, Finance, and Product Management.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, industry assessments, and benchmarking.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities, business challenges, and potential value creation initiatives.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and data-driven recommendations.
• Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior executives and the Business Unit President.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects and manage a team of strategy professionals.
• Support occasional M&A, divestiture, and partnership evaluations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning.
• Experience in annual planning, long-range planning, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Background

• Management consulting experience in corporate strategy, commercial due diligence, or operational due diligence.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, consumer products, or related commercial environments.
• Exposure to M&A is beneficial, but extensive deal execution or investment banking experience alone is not the primary focus.
