Role Overview

We're looking for a Java Developer to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services on AWS. You'll work on event-driven and microservice-based systems, handling real-time data flows and high-volume workloads, in close collaboration with product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Build and deploy serverless and containerized applications using AWS Lambda and AWS ECS
• Develop real-time data streaming and processing pipelines with AWS Kinesis
• Store and manage files and data objects in AWS S3
• Design data models and write efficient queries in MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Implement search and indexing features using OpenSearch
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance and reliability

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, and S3
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of OpenSearch
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK)
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging patterns
• Experience with performance tuning and unit/integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
