Overviewi3 is seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team to support FEMA cybersecurity assessment and testing efforts.

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risks within our system.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our security measures align with industry best practices and standards.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify security requirements and conduct / support assessments to ensure they adequately address potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Analyze the security implications of our system's goals and align them with industry best practices and standards.Assess system performance from a security perspective, especially at scale and under load, to identify potential bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.

Evaluate system interoperability and integration with legacy systems, identifying security gaps and risks.Participate in Open-Source Intelligence and Cyber Tabletop exercises to simulate real-world cyber threats and evaluate our system's resilience.

Provide inputs on security-specific operational requirements during the test and evaluation process.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective testability and measurability of security-related requirements.

Identify potential limitations in the test and evaluation process that may impact security assessments and develop strategies to mitigate their effects.

Incorporate security considerations into testing plans, ensuring that relevant security tests are included.Collaborate with the test team to address security-related risks and vulnerabilities adequately in test plans.

Provide inputs on security-related criteria for test readiness reviews.Assess the system's readiness from a security perspective, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.

Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) and test team to design and execute security-focused tests.Evaluate the system's cybersecurity controls and resilience against potential cyber threats.

The ability to assess Operations Security requirements and develop a well written assessment / report.A solid understanding of continuous system monitoring and cyber resiliency.

Experience identifying vulnerabilities / deficiencies in systems, policies, and methods.Ability to examine application compliance and evaluate adherence with standards and regulations.

A strong understanding of Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.

QualificationsBachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a FEMA Public Trust clearance.

Ability to report and perform duties on-site. Some hybrid / telework is expected.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards.

Experience in conducting security assessments, threat assessments, and vulnerability assessments.Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.

Proficiency in assessing system performance, interoperability, and reliability from a security perspective.Solid understanding of cybersecurity controls, resilience, and risk management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Security + and / or relevant DoD 8140 Cert required.Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEHare a plus.
