The Access and Visitation (A&V) coordinator works directly with non-custodial parents to remove barriers that prevent them from visiting with their children.
Duties include but are not limited to the following :
This position provides remote coverage for regions without an A&V coordinator and offers in-person training to other coordinators when necessary. The primary workstation is in Wake County Family Court Office and the Legal Support Center in Wake County Courthouse.
Knowledge of NC court processes, community resources, and child and family dynamics is required.
Skills needed include interviewing, case management, community partnership building, public speaking, resource development, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively, give presentations, establish rapport, multi-task, problem-solve, develop new initiatives, and collaborate with organizations is essential.
Qualifications include a degree in a human services field plus one year of experience, or an associate's degree plus three years of experience, or equivalent training and experience. Knowledge of family court processes is preferred.
