Electrical Engineer (Solar Panel Plant)
Acara Solutions is helping our international solar panel electronics firm find an Electrical Engineer to join their new Phoenix manufacturing plant as a salaried direct employee.
This is a plant facilities electrical engineer position to make sure all machines, controls, systems, etc. have the power they need 24 / 7.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and improvement of our electrical systems, including power supply and distribution across high and low voltage systems, control systems, and related equipment.
- Over see the maintenance of power supply and distribution (high and low voltage systems, distribution systems, and ancillary equipment within the department's jurisdiction)
- Develop and improve operation and maintenance instructions for power systems
- Guide and participate in the operation, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations
- Lead the department's electrical safety initiatives, conducting preventative patrols and overseeing safety rectifications
- Ensure safety of the department personnel and equipment through lightning and grounding protection measures, and calibration of insulation equipment
- Develop and execute implement training plans to enhance the professional skills of the operating personnel
- Responsible for investigating and analyzing electrical equipment accidents, prepare reports, and develop preventive measures
- Manage fixed assets and daily operations of electrical equipment
- Conduct energy consumption analysis and implement cost-reducing technological innovations
- Adhere to all company and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
- Meet or exceed company safety standards
Required Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
Min 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing plant or industrial setting
- This experience should include
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing plant related high and low voltage systems, control systems and electrical maintenance practices
- Familiarity with energy consumption practices and the ability to innovate cost-savings measures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
A plus to have experience with a 'start-up' manufacturing plant.
