Job descriptionBachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in DB2 systems programming and administration. Proven experience in : Installation and customization of DB2 subsystems. Troubleshooting DB2 system and software issues. WLM environment interaction with respect to DB2. DB2 utilities and tools such as TSO and FTP. SMP / E knowledge essential for installations. Unix System Services related to DB2. Strong JCL capabilities. Best practices for software management, maintenance, and documentation. Configuring and managing DB2 in a parallel sysplex environment. Innovating strategies and processes related to DB2 systems programming. Client engagement as an Ensono ambassador for DB2 matters. Experience reviewing new DB2 versions and providing guidance on their benefits. Consulting with vendors for troubleshooting and inquiries. Familiarity with SMS, IDCAMS, DF / DSS, and other subsystems. Assembly language and exit coding skills. Performance issue identification and resolution. Basic understanding of DB2 database administration. Knowledge of DB2 connectivity and security. DB2 data sharing in SYSPLEX environments. Skills in extracting information from DB2 logs and database recovery. Experience with IMS upgrades as an asset. Role Summary
As a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer, you will provide exceptional software support for our mainframe clients, focusing on DB2 systems.
Your contributions will directly support the Manager of Mainframe Database.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer service requests related to DB2 and associated OEM software products swiftly and efficiently.
- Lead efforts in upgrading DB2 and relevant products.
- Implement OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards for efficiency.
- Assist in onboarding new clients with DB2 and related software.
- Manage resources and schedules effectively for timely implementations.
- Comply with ITSM change control procedures.

Benefits
As of this posting, the expected pay range for this role is $80,000 to $148,000 annually, with adjustments based on experience, skills, and business needs.
