Our client is a global manufacturer specializing in chemicals. With operations spanning across North America, LATAM, Europe, and Asia, the company is a leader in its field, delivering high-quality specialty chemicals on a global scale.
They are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Planning Manager to oversee their supply chain operations. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and ensure on-time delivery of products.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities.
- Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and market data to make informed decisions regarding inventory planning and procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and optimize inventory turnover.
- Work closely with suppliers to manage procurement schedules, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Utilize supply chain management software and tools to track inventory levels, analyze performance metrics, and generate reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain, implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact supply chain operations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or procurement roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Strong experience in chemical industry preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
