What you'll be doing day to day

As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will :

Actively approach customers requiring additional help identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.

Keeps area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.

Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.

Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.

Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.

Flow product to final selling location.

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.

Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

HOURS From 20 to 34 hours per week (HL2)

SHIFTS Fully open work schedule availability including evenings and weekends required; Operations generally range between the window of 10am to 10pm; Work schedules are published one month in advance

PAY The starting rates / salary for this position range from $20.65 to $29.50 and will be based on equivalent work experience

POSTING The anticipated closing date is on or around 06 / 12 / 24

QUALIFICATIONS

1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector.

Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.
