Our client is seeking an experienced professional to manage and oversee controls engineering activities, ensuring seamless operational support and automation for their manufacturing processes. This role is pivotal in driving automation solutions and leading a high-performing team to success.
- This role is based in the Southeast U.S. All candidates must be open to relocation.
- Lead and manage the controls support organization, providing technical leadership to Controls Engineers and Supervisors.
- Plan, supervise, and support manufacturing operations with a focus on automation solutions involving data systems, shop floor processes, and manufacturing software.
- Ensure timely resolution of automation issues to minimize downtime and coordinate new equipment installations and upgrades.
- Foster a collaborative, cross-functional environment, balancing multiple projects while developing team capabilities.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics, Instrumentation and Controls, or Mechatronics / Robotics.At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing equipment controls engineering.3-6 years in a leadership role, with demonstrated management skills.Skills and Competencies :
Proficiency in controls engineering techniques and troubleshooting of electrical / electronic systems.Experience with industrial I / O networks, Ethernet architectures, and plant-floor integration.Expertise in PLC programming and HMI / SCADA systems, and familiarity with networking protocols.Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Responsibilities :
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure service availability and compliance with SLAs.Supervise and develop team members, supporting recruitment and performance management.Collaborate with various departments to drive operational and continuous improvement initiatives.Oversee project management for controls scope, ensuring compliance and safety standards.Travel :
