PreOp/PACU RN Manager

JOB SUMMARY :

The Nurse Manager is responsible for departmental functions in support of the center mission, vision, and facility goals.

This position establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Nurse Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction and employee involvement.

The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting center goals. Oversees Pre-op / PACU; assists in Pre-op / PACU as necessary.

Required Skills : Qualifications :

Qualifications :

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-2 years' previous experience in PreOP / PACU / ICU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS & ACLS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
