RESPONSIBILITIES :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

With direct guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of product support duties following well defined procedures and processes in one or more of the following functions : raw stock, parts identification, shipping, receiving, stockroom, stock handling, clean operations, parts handling, etc.

RAW STOCK

Receive incoming raw stock and verify material against documentation for identification and accuracy of quantity. Load and unload trucks and move raw material to the proper location. Identify and code raw material and operate saw to cut stock to dimensional specifications. Issue jobs per schedule and update shop floor, MRP and other systems.

SHIPPING

Prepare parts and / or materials to assure safe handling for shipment including the completion of the necessary paperwork and shipping records and maintenance of a shipping log. Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment including computer input for necessary labels, forms and shipping records.

RECEIVING

Receive shipments at receiving dock and forward materials to the appropriate team. Weigh or count incoming / outbound parts or materials.

STOCKROOM

Receive material, check and identify parts by type or part number. Prepare parts for storage and place stock in proper location as directed. Select parts from stock to fill orders according to parts lists. Perform cycle inventory count. Maintain and access necessary records utilizing a computer.

PARTS HANDLING

Following traveler / route sheet instructions, move parts between functions or teams using a forklift or other moving devices. Package or repackage parts to prevent damage during movement or handling. Request and stage tooling required to support team schedules. Audit material storage areas to support inventory location and count accuracy.

Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

QUALIFICATIONS :

One year product support or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.

General knowledge of computer terminal operations.

May be required to operate moving equipment and saw equipment and meet OSHA safety qualifications.

May require forklift operator certificate.

Must demonstrate manual dexterity.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to read and understand related forms and specifications.

May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

RESPONSABILIDADES

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES

Con guía directa y trabajando en un entorno de equipo, es responsable de realizar una variedad de tareas de soporte de producto siguiendo procedimientos y procesos bien definidos en una o más de las siguientes funciones : materia prima, identificación de piezas, envío, recepción, almacén, manejo de inventario, operaciones de limpieza, manejo de piezas, etc.

MATERIA PRIMA (RAW STOCK)

Recibir materia prima entrante y verificar el material con la documentación para confirmar identificación y exactitud de cantidades.

Cargar y descargar camiones y mover la materia prima a la ubicación correspondiente.

Identificar y codificar la materia prima y operar la sierra para cortar el material según las especificaciones dimensionales.

Emitir trabajos según el programa y actualizar los sistemas de piso de producción, MRP y otros sistemas.

ENVÍO (SHIPPING)

Preparar piezas y / o materiales para asegurar su manejo seguro durante el envío, incluyendo completar la documentación necesaria, registros de envío y mantener un registro de embarques.

Preparar el empaque conforme a las especificaciones para el envío, incluyendo la entrada de datos en computadora para generar etiquetas, formularios y registros de envío necesarios.

RECEPCIÓN (RECEIVING)

Recibir envíos en el área de recepción y enviar los materiales al equipo apropiado.

Pesar o contar piezas o materiales entrantes y salientes.

ALMACÉN (STOCKROOM)

Recibir material, revisar e identificar piezas por tipo o número de parte.

Preparar las piezas para almacenamiento y colocarlas en su ubicación correspondiente según instrucciones.

Seleccionar piezas del inventario para completar órdenes de acuerdo con listas de partes.

Realizar conteos cíclicos de inventario.

Mantener y acceder a los registros necesarios utilizando una computadora.

MANEJO DE PIEZAS (PARTS HANDLING)

Siguiendo las instrucciones del traveler o ruta, mover piezas entre funciones o equipos utilizando un montacargas u otros dispositivos de movimiento.

Empacar o reempacar piezas para evitar daños durante el movimiento o manejo.

Solicitar y preparar las herramientas requeridas para apoyar los cronogramas del equipo.

Auditar las áreas de almacenamiento de material para apoyar la exactitud de ubicación y conteo de inventario.

Observar todas las reglas y regulaciones de seguridad y mantener el área de trabajo en condiciones ordenadas.

CALIFICACIONES

Un año de experiencia en soporte de producto o experiencia relacionada, o capacidad demostrada para desempeñar las responsabilidades descritas.

Conocimiento general en operaciones de terminales de computadora.

Puede ser requerido operar equipos de movimiento y equipos de sierra, y cumplir con las calificaciones de seguridad OSHA.

Puede requerirse certificación de operador de montacargas.

Debe demostrar destreza manual.

Capacidad para realizar cálculos matemáticos básicos.

Capacidad para leer y comprender formularios y especificaciones relacionadas.

Puede ser requerido levantar hasta 50 libras (22.7 kg).

Debe demostrar habilidades efectivas de comunicación verbal, escrita e interpersonal.
