Dynacast operates 21 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries across the globe.
Position Summary
We are looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (BDS) who can blend technical understanding with strong sales acumen to identify and qualify new business opportunities for Dynacast. The successful candidate will be a driven self-starter that demonstrates superb communication, organization, and time management skills. A candidate that is bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
This position will be on-site , and can be based out of our Dynacast plant in Elgin, IL or the plant in Lake Forest, CA.
Key Responsibilities include
- Research, identify, and qualify potential customers in key verticals (automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, medical devices, etc.) as well as new / upcoming markets.
- Initiate outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce Dynacast's capabilities and value proposition.
- Engage in technical conversations to understand project needs (e.g. part geometry, alloy selection, annual volume, surface finish requirements).
- Collaborate closely with sales engineers, managers, and Business Development Managers to hand off qualified opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM (Salesforce) and report on activity metrics.
- Support marketing campaigns and trade show / webinar follow-ups by qualifying inbound leads.
- Continually build knowledge of die casting processes, secondary operations, and industry trends to communicate credibly with prospective engineers & buyers.
- Travel to company plants or trade shows may be requested on occasion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).1-3 years of experience in B2B technical sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in manufacturing or engineered products.Self-starter; must be independent and able to work with minimal supervision.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to discuss detailed technical concepts clearly.Curious, analytical mindset with a desire to understand customer challenges and translate them into opportunities.Experience using Salesforce, or another similar CRM, is required.Experience with ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ChatGPT, and other sales automation tools is a plus.Comfortable engaging with engineers, buyers, C-level stakeholders across multiple industries.Spanish fluency is a plus.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
