Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

This analyst researches and analyzes credit risks and credit history on moderately complex accounts to approve or disapprove credit extensions, making recommendations to leadership on higher dollar or high-risk deals both verbal and written.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.

Generate financial ratios using computer programs to evaluate the customers' financial status.Establish initial credit limits and maintain credit limits and exposure to higher dollar and / or higher risk accounts.

Consult with customers to resolve and verify financial and credit transactions.Work with LII Legal to advise, draft, and maintain security agreements and other commercial instruments to secure credit limits and mitigate accounts receivable risk.

Work with outside attorney’s and attorneys’ offices in foreign countries to draft, present, and formally register legal credit documents applicable and enforceable in these foreign jurisdictions.

Present written and verbal credit recommendations to management and upper-level leadership teams.Monitor credit risk and quality of receivables through monthly and ad hoc reports, tracking risk indicators and changes in risk composition.

Assign uncollectible accounts to third party agencies, track and monitor agency performance.Negotiate special account workouts, repayment plans, and settlements.

Manage bankruptcy proceedings, filing proof of claim and working with Credit & Collections and management teams to limit our preference exposure.

Track and monitor bad performance for each Business Unit.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $60,000 - $75,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 1 year related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other productivity software systems.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy and research skills.
