Built for competitive, highly motivated, and team-oriented individuals, VG SALES is the first venture-led accelerated tech sales training program for diverse college graduates without prior experience who are pursuing a career in sales at one of Boston's fastest growing startups.

This will be an 8-week, paid program that provides best in class business training and mentorship from industry experts on foundational technology sales skills.

The success driven, proprietary sales education will give you the knowledge and skills to fast-track your path to earning a six-figure income, accelerate your career growth, and build lasting relationships with Venture Guides’ network of technology leaders.

Highly motivated applicants who demonstrate resilience, ability to listen, utilize sales techniques and model leadership will be rewarded with an opportunity to earn a job in one of Venture Guides’ fast growing technology startups.

Please Note : this is a full time, on-site position at VG SALES HQ in Boston’s TD Garden complex for the duration of the program.

Training

With an 8-week training program, we will arm you with the tools, skills, and techniques that lead to long-term career success.

You will have mentors and coaching from the best in the industry - from the VP of VG SALES, to the Venture Guides team, and all of the portfolio companies’ Sales Executives and their teams of SDRs to help you with the following :

  • The Leader’s mindset - learn foundational technology sales skills essential to succeed in generating sales revenue as well as a clear understanding of keys to successful sales organizations that can grow multibillion dollar businesses.
  • 200+ hours of prospecting - 200+ hours of real-world prospecting (cold calls, emails, LI) for Venture Guides and its portfolio businesses to build prospecting skills that deliver high performance.
  • Full-Time Intensive Sales and Business Training - Full-time and dedicated training, mentorship, and coaching from some of the most successful leaders in the industry.
  • Industry Expertise - Become proficient in the fastest growing and recession proof industry, infrastructure technology landscape, learning from leaders across the Venture Guides portfolio.
  • Performance and growth - Visibility into individual performance that will be measured by activity, meetings set, meeting conversions, scores on training tests, as well as personal skills to ensure appropriate coaching and to prepare you for a successful transition to a portfolio company.

SDR Role

Acting as the first touchpoint in any sales cycle, sales development representatives (SDRs) research potential future customers for their company.

You will have 200+ hours of real-world prospecting experience to set you up for success in this sales role : Your day-to-day as a Sales Development Representative at a Venture Guides company typically includes :

  • Researching and creating targeted lists of people (prospects) who could benefit from the company’s tech product / service.
  • Reaching out to curated, targeted lists to identify sales opportunities.
  • Guide qualified prospects onto the next stage of the sales process by booking a further conversation between the prospect and the company’s Account Executive
  • Continuously improve sales development skills and learn the different career paths to create a lucrative future in high-tech sales.

Career Path

In eight weeks, you'll connect with sales leaders across our diverse portfolio, showcasing your skills acquired in the classroom during program interactions.

Working alongside sales teams, you'll apply your knowledge to real-world scenarios, gaining hands-on experience in the SDR role.

Cultivating informal and meaningful relationships with teams on our floor will foster lasting connections within our growing community.

Throughout this eight-week journey, you'll have the chance to demonstrate your value, paving the way to join a team you admire and one that has supported your growth.

Upon securing a full-time position as an SDR, exceptional performance can fast-track your promotion to a sales rep role within months, not years, providing the fastest route to a six-figure income.

  • College graduate (or graduating in May 2024) with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent,
