Duties andResponsibilities :
- Directs and oversees the development and implementationof engineering policies programs and processes which promoteimproved safe reliable and efficient performance ofprojects.
- Participates in the developmentevaluation and introduction of new technology changes.
- Ensures that improvements in systems processes andprocedures are identified and delegated to the perspectiveengineers for team implementation.
- Identifiesand implements improvements in processes and procedures.
- Provides expertise and focused attention on the companysgrowing and emerging technologies.
- Establishesplans to improve the cost effectiveness timeliness and reliabilityof engineering department operations.
- Directsthe development and implementation of work process changes neededto improve efficiency quality and productivity.
- Plans and manages the departments financial resourcesthrough defining and developing capital operations and maintenancebudgets.
- Manages selects coaches delegates anddevelops engineering staff. Assesses the need for and overseesimplementation of programs to ensure employees possess technicaland behavioral skills required to support project / operatingplans.
- Problemsolving and provide solutions toengineering process problems. Identify and recommendimprovements.
- Leads develops and delegates tothe engineering team with the writing process policies proceduresetc.
- Assign tasks to engineers gauge progressof various projects and collaborate with customers and variousteams / departments on projects.
- Propose budgetscreate reports with project manager and other departments forvarious projects.
Qualifications :
- Minimum required bachelors degree (MBA orMasters in Engineering field preferred) and 5 years of engineeringexperience in Aerospace industry with increasingresponsibilities
- Must have superior analyticaland math skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Ability to communicate in English and any anotherlanguage is a plus
- Demonstrate problemsolvingabilities and ability to collaborate with multiple departments onvarious levels
- Ability to create a set ofqualifications for a new product and / or existing product
- Interpersonal skills to manage a team of engineers andgive constructive criticism
- Cascade andtranslate strategies into action plans
- Communicate goals and priorities (company departmentteam); ensure line of sight
- Driveaccountability / monitor progress and communicate communicatecommunicate
- Experience with writing procedureswork instructions processes and policies
